Fort Trumbull

New London's Fort Trumbull has served in a plethora numerous coastal defense, safety, research and military capacities. Perhaps most promiently, it's known as a U.S. Coast Guard installation, but it has also been used by the Army and Navy. The current structure was built between 1839 and 1852.
