Description
In 1974, the two organizations SACO (Spanish-American Cultural Organization) and Nuestra Casa, which both provided social services to the Hispanic/Latinx population of New London merged to form Centro de la Comunidad, an organization which works towards the “empowerment of Hispanics” through educational programs such as ESL, G.E.D and, Spanish classes, a Certified Nurse’s Aide Training course, a Job Readiness program, Social Services & Case Management, and other community services.
