Conn Coll Nationally Known Institution

Title

Conn Coll Nationally Known Institution

Description

Connecticut College’s built environment reflects a rich history of ideals and beliefs. Individual buildings and masterplans express the architectural values held by society of the time. President Blunt oversaw the construction of seven dormitories and Palmer Auditorium, which expanded the college remarkably. The construction of Palmer connected the campus to the greater New London community. The theater continues to offer concerts and lectures by distinguished individuals including Billy Joel, Eleanor Roosevelt, Hillary Clinton, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Toni Morrison.
