Ram Island Reef Light Ship

Ram Island Reef Lightship was built in 1857 as a schooner, and in 1862 it was appropriated for use as a lightship. It served at Ram Island Reef from 1894 through 1925, when it was retired from lightship duty. (Source: http://www.uscg.mil/history/cutters/WLV/LV23.asp)
